MILESTONE Ranks on SF Fast-Growth Private Companies List Employing Large Staff

This month MILESTONE attended the San Francisco Business Times’ 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in the Bay Area awards ceremony. MILESTONE ranked in 57th.

At this event, Publisher of the San Francisco Business Times, Mary Huss, reminded invited companies that “we are the Bay Area’s job creation bank.” Especially now as more companies are laying off employees and shutting doors, it is harder to sustain growth as a private company. MILESTONE has been on other fast-growth lists several times this year and in previous years. When a company is a young startup, it is easier to grow fast from a small number of employees and rank highly on these lists. Only one company ranking in the top ten had more than 100 employees. As a whole, 77% of the companies on this year’s list had fewer than 100 employees. MILESTONE, being an international company employs well over 100 people, came in with a 101.3% net revenue growth.

MILESTONE is honored to receive this award as it validates our employees’ hard work, planning and overall efforts. We thank our clients for doing business with us. Without our clients having a need to fulfill, we wouldn’t have been able to grow our services to where they are today. Our goal is to support our customers’ IT needs helping them through their growing pains.

The event was an opportunity to network with companies in different industries. IT has generally not been hit as hard in the recession. It was refreshing to see that some non-technology companies, selling fitness equipment, specialty foods and beer, and cruise and events, made the list. They too will need to move their computers and servers into larger buildings, grow their IT department, and optimize their IT environment for efficiency.
