1997 – Prem Chand, MILESTONE’s President and CEO, launches the company in Fremont, California, after a successful 10 year partnership in a related industry. MILESTONE begins offering IT support and integration services to clients throughout the western United States. The company attains profitability in its first year of operation, starting with only four employees.
2000 – MILESTONE earns the first of several Fast Growth awards after increasing revenues by 927%. From the year 2000 on, MILESTONE receives a series of these awards from the San Francisco Business Journal, the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal, and the East Bay Business Times. MILESTONE positions itself for continued strong growth.
2001 – MILESTONE acquires Operating Systems LLC, an IT services firm in San Jose, California. The acquisition creates Northern California’s largest provider of client/server relocation services. MILESTONE continues its calculated growth planning, and begins to offer additional IT services in addition to core relocation business.
2002 – MILESTONE opens a second office in Irvine, California to pursue opportunities and to support regional operations in the Southern California market. Other regional U.S. market expansions are planned to support growth of client base and clients’ regional operations.
2004 – MILESTONE successfully weathers the economic downturn and continues a growth trajectory with ongoing client relationships and opportunities. MILESTONE begins strategic planning for European, middle East and Africa (EMEA) operations. MILESTONE continues to add clients who require global IT support.
2006 – MILESTONE Integration Services Limited is founded in Dublin, Ireland to develop business in this region and to support current EMEA clients and operations. International growth planning continues as MILESTONE gains important experience and success in their international markets.
2007 – MILESTONE gains four major managed services clients in a 12-month period. The managed services growth offer MILESTONE the ability to add domestic U.S. offices and other global operations in Israel, Sydney, Australia and Johannesburg, South Africa.
2008 – MILESTONE grows to over 700 employees and expands its corporate headquarters to a larger facility in Fremont, California. Service growth for existing client base expands. Many clients have sustained multiple-year term relationships with MILESTONE.
2009 – MILESTONE embanks on a strong sales and marketing initiative, while also sustaining market position during recession. MILESTONE scales operations, but continues as key support partner for clients. Hardware support opportunities grow. Company is named to Inc 5000, fastest growing private companies.
2010 – MILESTONE acquires INVISIBLE IT, an engineering company that specializes in solving complex business problems. INVISIBLE IT was a well respected Cisco Certified Premier Partner and was named the
Cisco Unified Communications Partner of the Year-West. MILESTONE gains significant engineering talent, management expertise and new clients, all overnight.
