Prem Chand
CEO, President and Founder

MILESTONE was founded in 1997 by Prem Chand after a 10-year career as an executive at a related technology company. His strengths in sales, operations and finance have guided the firm to the strong leadership position enjoyed today.

Prem’s vision is to continue to grow the firm; helping client companies grow their own enterprises by offering technology and engineering solutions to business problems.

Jim Schultz
Chief Finance Officer

As CFO, Jim Schultz is responsible for financial, treasury and administration of the corporate infrastructure. His duties include contract negotiations, HR and accounting oversight, and legal and financial relationship management.

Jim has been instrumental in the company’s growth. He has created corporate entities internationally where MILESTONE operates and has successfully negotiated the acquisition of other IT companies that support the MILESTONE growth-oriented vision.

Jim Glueck
Chief Operating Officer

Jim Glueck leads business operations at MILESTONE. He is responsible for designing and integrating strategic initiatives that include market analysis and alignment, focused business planning, leveraging growth opportunities, driving technical service delivery practices and monitoring client support performance metrics. Jim is also the executive leader of MILESTONE’s Client Council – an association of client advisors.

Tony Silviera
Executive Vice President

Tony Silveira manages Global Service Delivery at MILESTONE. He is responsible for planning, staffing, service delivery and analysis of MILESTONE’s operations. Silveira is also a senior member of the MILESTONE executive management committee.

Jim Andersen
Vice President of Marketing

Positioning MILESTONE within the markets that it serves is Andersen’s responsibility. Jim manages corporate communications, public relations, web-based marketing, creative design and lead acquisition.

Andersen and his team occasionally take on client marketing projects.

Jay Yu
Vice President of Technology

Jay evaluates emerging technology. He is responsible for bringing new solutions to MILESTONE’s technical mix of service offerings that continue to drive solutions to client business problems. Jay Yu is also the MILESTONE executive in charge of partner relations.

Chris Kloes
Vice President of Sales

Chris leads a business development team whose goal is to identify new sales opportunities for all segments of MILESTONE’s business. Chris and his team are the outreach for new clients and manage existing client relationships.

Andy Mowatt
Sr. Director of International Operations – EMEA/APAC

Andy is responsible for the day to day operations of our international subsidiary, based in Dublin, Ireland. He is also involved with business growth and in particular bringing both existing and new products/services to international markets.

Michele Schochet
Sr. Director of Professional Services

Michele Schochet manages the Professional Services delivery at MILESTONE. She is a seasoned project and program manager with over 13 years of IT, Network Operations and Datacenter project management experience with a solid foundation for managing and running support and infrastructure teams within service and software development companies.

1997 – Prem Chand, MILESTONE’s President and CEO, launches the company in Fremont, California, after a successful 10 year partnership in a related industry. MILESTONE begins offering IT support and integration services to clients throughout the western United States. The company attains profitability in its first year of operation, starting with only four employees.
2000 – MILESTONE earns the first of several Fast Growth awards after increasing revenues by 927%. From the year 2000 on, MILESTONE receives a series of these awards from the San Francisco Business Journal, the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal, and the East Bay Business Times. MILESTONE positions itself for continued strong growth.
2001 – MILESTONE acquires Operating Systems LLC, an IT services firm in San Jose, California. The acquisition creates Northern California’s largest provider of client/server relocation services. MILESTONE continues its calculated growth planning, and begins to offer additional IT services in addition to core relocation business.
2002 – MILESTONE opens a second office in Irvine, California to pursue opportunities and to support regional operations in the Southern California market. Other regional U.S. market expansions are planned to support growth of client base and clients’ regional operations.
2004 – MILESTONE successfully weathers the economic downturn and continues a growth trajectory with ongoing client relationships and opportunities. MILESTONE begins strategic planning for European, middle East and Africa (EMEA) operations. MILESTONE continues to add clients who require global IT support.
2006 – MILESTONE Integration Services Limited is founded in Dublin, Ireland to develop business in this region and to support current EMEA clients and operations. International growth planning continues as MILESTONE gains important experience and success in their international markets.
2007 – MILESTONE gains four major managed services clients in a 12-month period. The managed services growth offer MILESTONE the ability to add domestic U.S. offices and other global operations in Israel, Sydney, Australia and Johannesburg, South Africa.
2008 – MILESTONE grows to over 700 employees and expands its corporate headquarters to a larger facility in Fremont, California. Service growth for existing client base expands. Many clients have sustained multiple-year term relationships with MILESTONE.
2009 – MILESTONE embanks on a strong sales and marketing initiative, while also sustaining market position during recession. MILESTONE scales operations, but continues as key support partner for clients. Hardware support opportunities grow. Company is named to Inc 5000, fastest growing private companies.
2010 – MILESTONE acquires INVISIBLE IT, an engineering company that specializes in solving complex business problems. INVISIBLE IT was a well respected Cisco Certified Premier Partner and was named the Cisco Unified Communications Partner of the Year-West. MILESTONE gains significant engineering talent, management expertise and new clients, all overnight.

A corporate 'green initiative' is more than recycling a water bottle or turning the lights off at night. MILESTONE’s green initiative includes using, video conferencing technology, mobile solutions and Energy StarTM approved products to reduce its carbon footprint and bring eco-friendly cost savings.   • All new computers purchased use Intel’s new, more power-efficient “Core 2” designs.
  • Our Lenovo ThinkPads have modern Core 2 Duo processors. ThinkPads use as little as 1/5th the power of a desktop PC. MILESTONE chose the ThinkPad because of its durability and long lifespan.
  • Our iMacs are green on a number of levels. They include a highly efficient power supply, use advanced power management, are Energy StarTM qualified, are free of many harmful toxins, including mercury, arsenic, BFRs, and PVC, and have earned EPEAT Gold status for responsible manufacture, energy efficiency, and recyclability.
Our Company Servers:
  • MILESTONE takes server virtualization seriously by consolidating servers with existing ones.
  • Many servers are run through power distribution units monitored for power consumption and can be turned on and off remotely.
