Prem Chand entered the work force at a very early age via his family’s agricultural business. At the age of 7, Prem learned to operate tractors. At age 12, Chand was helping work out process flow methods for planning, planting, rotating, cultivating, harvesting and distributing produce shipments from the family farm in Chico, California. By 15, he was learning the sales and finance sides of the business. And at age 18, Prem Chand had over 70 farm hands reporting to him.

Chand served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Vice President and was a partner in a California-based, high technology and logistics service firm that specialized in relocating IT equipment. For 10 years, Prem fulfilled this financial, operational and sales role. It was during this experience that Chand recognized the business potential of an IT service firm that offered more than just physically moving equipment.

Chand founded MILESTONE Technologies, Inc. in 1997. With his strong sales, operational, financial background and early management experience, Chand is the company’s guiding force. Today, MILESTONE is a multi-million dollar supplier of IT services, with hundreds of employees working around the globe with many Fortune 1000 clients.

MILESTONE brings process and order to clients’ IT needs. Chand is the company’s strategic visionary for process flow methods based largely on the international standards framework of ITIL. While Chand does not adopt the ITIL infrastructure standards verbatim, they provide accountability measures on which MILESTONE’s IT service models are built.

Prem Chand’s vision for MILESTONE is to continue to grow both the MILESTONE domestic and international operations. Ultimately Prem desires to have a true international support organization like no other in existence today. Not just another ‘vendor’ that can hire and deploy subcontractors to support client needs anywhere on the globe, but a true multi-national enterprise with physical presence in the countries serviced.
